On April 11th, 2008 I had the pleasure of interviewing Congressman Ron Paul on WCHE. Before Janet Jackson had her “wardrobe malfunction” during Super Bowl XXXVIII, I had never heard of Congressman Ron Paul. Shortly after that incident, the US Congress voted to greatly increase the fines for broadcast indecency. As a broadcaster and Libertarian this concerned me. A fan of my radio show sent me a list of how each member of Congress had voted on the matter. Ron Paul’s name stood out as the only Republican to vote against increasing the fines. I researched his name on the Internet and quickly became a Ron Paul fanatic. (Special thanks to Steve Bryant for arranging the interview.)
